Edit your profile

Change your name, picture, town, birthday and gender.

Updated 20 October 2026

Open Profile → Edit Profile.

  • Name and profile picture: what riders see. Without a picture, you show the default helmet.
  • Location: just a town or area, such as Market Harborough, never your address. It's used for Events near you.
  • Birthday: private. You need to be 16 or over.
  • Gender: optional and private, never shown to other riders. Byker uses it only to check women-only and men-only events.

Your username can't be changed, as it's part of your shared links.

Fit your photo

After you take or choose a profile picture, Byker shows it in its circle. Drag to move it, pinch (or use the slider) to zoom, and turn it if it's on its side, then tap Use photo. Only what's inside the circle is saved. Cover photos, club, group chat and bike photos and event covers work the same way, each in its own shape. On the website, scroll to zoom, or use the arrow keys and + and −.

Your rider page, with its cover photo and About you, has its own screen: Profile → Your rider page.
