Hide the exact start and finish

Share a ride without showing where you live.

Updated 18 October 2026

Rides often start and end at home. Hide exact start and finish keeps that to yourself.

What other riders see

  • The route without its first and last 500 m.
  • "Near …" the nearest point they can see, instead of your exact start and finish.
  • A note that the rider has hidden them.

It applies everywhere other riders see the ride: its page, the map, the picture on its card, secret links, and GPX files they export. You always see the whole ride.

Switch it on

Switch on Hide exact start and finish in the save form, or in the ride's details later. It's on by default for recorded and imported rides.

Photos never give your location away either: Byker strips their location and other hidden details.
