Add your events to your calendar
Your events in Google, Apple or Outlook calendar, kept up to date.
Updated 25 October 2026
Add to calendar on an event's page puts that one event in your calendar. Your calendar link does it for all of them, and keeps them up to date: new events, changed times and places, and cancellations.
Turn it on
In the Community tab, open Events and tap the calendar button at the top (on byker.net, Events then the calendar button). Tap Get my calendar link, then:
- On an iPhone: tap Add to my calendar, and Calendar asks to subscribe.
- On Android: tap Add to my calendar, and Google Calendar opens to add it. It then shows on your phone in Google Calendar.
- On a computer: in Google Calendar, choose Other calendars, +, From URL and paste the link (Copy the link). Apple Calendar and Outlook can open the link themselves: on byker.net, choose Open in my calendar app.
What's in it
- Events you organise, and events you're going to.
- Events you're interested in, marked as tentative.
- Your clubs' events, even if you haven't said you're going. Switch off My clubs' events if you'd rather not.
Events from the last two months and the next year are in it. A cancelled event stays, marked as cancelled, so your calendar can take it out. Calendars check the link every few hours, so a change can take a while to show.
Keep the link to yourself
Anyone with the link can see the events in it. If it gets out, tap Get a new link: the old one stops working at once, and you add the new one to your calendar again. Turn off stops it altogether.
