When your bike is back
Mark it recovered, keep it open or close your report.
Updated 24 October 2026
It's back
Open your report and tap It's back: mark it recovered. Say whether Byker helped, and if you like, how it was found. Riders who sent sightings or shared it are told the good news.
Choose Share my story with riders to put it in Back with their owners in Stolen & Found. Your report's link stays up, saying the bike is back with its owner.
Still missing
Every 30 days, Byker asks whether your bike is still missing. Tap It's still missing to keep the report open. Reports close after 6 months unless you keep them open.
Close it
Tap Close report at any time. It leaves the map, the plate check and its link. You keep it under Yours.
Beware of recovery scams. Never pay anyone to return a bike, or anyone calling as "the police" or "a recovery company". The police never ask for money.
