Seen a stolen bike?
Tell its owner where and when, safely and privately.
Updated 24 October 2026
Never approach anyone or try to take a bike back. If it's happening now, call 999. Otherwise call 101.
Tell the owner
- Open the report, from a notification, a link or Stolen & Found, and tap I've seen it.
- Say where: I'm there now, or choose the place on the map.
- Say when, and what you saw: parked outside the shops, being ridden north. Add a photo if you safely can.
- Tap Tell the owner.
Who sees it
Only the owner. Your sighting is never shown to anyone else, and the owner can message you in Byker chat. If the owner has chosen to share the crime reference, the report shows it, so you can quote it to the police.
