Report a found bike
Found a bike abandoned or dumped? Help it get home.
Updated 24 October 2026
Tell the police too: call 101 and say where the bike is.
Report it
- Tap + and Report a bike, then Report a found bike.
- Add at least one photo, so its owner can recognise it.
- Say when you found it, and where it is, on the map.
- Add what you can tell: make, model and colour, and the registration and frame number if you can see them.
- Add anything else, such as its state, or keys or plates missing, and tap Report it found.
Matching
Byker checks the bike against open stolen reports: by registration, by frame number (privately: it's never shown), and by make, model and colour nearby. When it matches, the owner is told and can say whether it's theirs. If it is, Byker tells you, and you can talk in Byker chat. Never share your phone number or address.
Is this yours?
Your report gets its own link, byker.net/found/ and a code, and a FOUND: is this yours? poster to share. Riders near you see it in Stolen & Found, and on the map.
When its owner has it back, or the police have it, open the report and tap It's gone: close it. Found bikes close by themselves after 90 days.
